Specialty Contacts Provide a Clearer Path to Better Vision
Most patients seen at the Raleigh Contact Lens Institute have what are called “difficult to fit” eyes—and this challenge is exactly why our practice was founded. Many patients are referred by optometrists and ophthalmologists who trust us with complex vision needs.
If you have been told you have difficult to fit eyes, we’d love to help, and can be reached at (919) 850 5910 or hello@raleighcontactlens.com. More information can also be found below.

Why Have I Been Told My Eyes Are “Difficult to Fit”?
Sometimes an underlying eye condition, such as keratoconus, can make it challenging to achieve clear vision. In other cases, patients are told they have “difficult to fit” eyes because multiple factors are present at once.
For example, a patient may have a small corneal scar on the periphery, moderate dry eye leading to irritation, and naturally steep corneas. When these conditions combine, achieving sharp vision with standard glasses or traditional contact lenses becomes very difficult—requiring specialized care and custom contact lens solutions.
